  • Eggs - 2
  • White bread, phosphate-additive-free - 2 slices
  • Butter - 10 g
  • Freshly ground black pepper - To taste

  1. Bring a saucepan of water to the boil.
  2. Carefully lower the eggs into the water and cook for 5–6 minutes for soft-boiled eggs.
  3. Toast the bread until golden.
  4. Spread the butter over the toast and cut each slice into four long soldiers.
  5. Place the eggs in egg cups and carefully remove the tops.
  6. Season with black pepper and serve with the toast soldiers.
