
Jacket Potato with Beef
A hearty jacket potato topped with lean cooked beef and a little mayonnaise for a simple British lunch.
Ingredients
- β’250 g Floury baking potato
- β’90 g Cooked lean beef, thinly sliced
- β’1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- β’2 leaves Lettuce leaf
- β’To taste Freshly ground black pepper

Fan oven, baking tray, bowl, fork, knife
Method
- 1Preheat the oven to 200Β°C (180Β°C fan).
- 2Prick the potato several times with a fork and place it on a baking tray.
- 3Bake for 50β55 minutes until the skin is crisp and the centre is completely tender.
- 4While the potato is baking, slice the cooked beef thinly and mix it with the mayonnaise.
- 5Remove the potato from the oven and cut a cross into the top.
- 6Gently squeeze the sides to open the potato.
- 7Spoon in the beef mixture and serve with the lettuce and black pepper.
