  • Light pork breakfast sausage - 1
  • Egg - 1
  • Plain white breakfast muffin, phosphate-additive-free - 1
  • Lettuce leaf - 2 leaves
  • Butter - 5 g
  • Freshly ground black pepper - To taste

  1. Remove the sausage meat from its casing and shape it into a flat patty roughly the same diameter as the breakfast muffin.
  2. Cook the sausage patty in a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat until thoroughly cooked and browned on both sides.
  3. Remove the sausage patty and keep warm.
  4. Toast the breakfast muffin and spread lightly with butter.
  5. Crack the egg into the same pan and cook until the white is set and the yolk is cooked to your preference.
  6. Place the lettuce on the bottom half of the muffin.
  7. Add the sausage and egg.
  8. Season with black pepper and top with the other half of the muffin.
  9. Serve immediately.
